SCSC means Summer Christian Service Corp. The Women's Society of the SDB denomination administers this program through their SCSC committee. It
all began in 1964 and is a ministry opportunity for college-age young people.
It has a vital impact on the lives of the SCSCers and the many people who have
heard the Good News of Jesus Christ because of their witness.
SCSCers go through an intensive training which includes Bible study, evangelism,
sharing personal testimonies. Then the fun begins! They go in teams to SDB
churches to serve in a variety of ways, putting their training to work.
It takes a lot of money to fund the SCSC program. The ladies in our SDB
churches are very faithful in their efforts of bake sales, craft sales.
Personal donations and other inventive ways to raise funds for SCSC.
The SCSCers themselves help with the fund-raising for their expenses.
